Aseret Bibo, founder and CEO of DAMA Design & Build Inc., was raised with entrepreneurial roots and a global perspective, thanks to her parents’ influence. As the eldest daughter of a University Professor (Father) and a K-12 tutor (Mother), Aseret grew up in a household dedicated to education, hard work, and a love for travel. Her parents, who transitioned into entrepreneurship, instilled in her the value of balancing work with leisure, working tirelessly for 11 months of the year and dedicating one month to exploration and rejuvenation—a philosophy that shaped Aseret’s outlook on life and business.

Did you know that Aseret is Teresa spelled backward? Her mother, a creative soul and now a talented oil painter, discovered the name Aseret while playing around with her middle name in college. She instantly knew that one day, she would name her daughter Aseret—a name as unique and inspiring as the woman who bears it today.

Aseret’s entrepreneurial journey began at the young age of seven. Growing up with Spanish as her first language, she had to quickly adapt and learn English when she started school. During this time, she also assisted her mother in managing her wholesale distribution business, laying the foundation for her entrepreneurial spirit.

From Corporate Climber to Visionary CEO: Aseret Bibo’s Journey

Throughout her career, Aseret Bibo has exemplified determination and adaptability, climbing the corporate ladder with her versatile experience in supply chain management, product development, and brand design across multiple industries, starting in fashion and transitioning into cosmetic manufacturing. Reporting directly to CEOs and VPs, she thrived in high-pressure, competitive environments, often working 16–18 hour days—a stark contrast to the standard 8-hour workday. Her hard work and resilience not only helped her achieve her corporate goals but also fueled her ultimate ambition: becoming the CEO of her own company.

To accelerate her career, Aseret made it a point to learn from the successes and mistakes of the executives she worked with, adopting a mindset of gaining invaluable insights while earning her dues. This principle—learning from others’ mistakes while delivering excellence—remains a cornerstone of her professional philosophy today. With a background of juggling multiple roles, Aseret honed a deep understanding of business operations on both corporate and internal levels. Today, she channels that expertise into focusing exclusively on business and brand development for enterprises of all sizes.
